Isn’t that the truth? After all, look at the number of amazing life experiences just waiting for us to sample. From the little things (listening to new music) to bigger events (kayaking in a beautiful location), life is like one giant, delicious buffet. I called it a tapas bar but really, whom am I kidding? I come from a giant, happy Italian family. Life’s like a huge feast complete with lots of wine and cannoli! While excitement and adventure intrigue me, I enjoy everyday life too. I give myself totally over to work when I’m there but during the in-between time I make sure to indulge in experiences that rejuvenate, relax, or inspire me. A hot shower after being in really cold weather. The look of amazement on my nieces and nephews faces when they’ve seen something that blows them away. Eating something exotic and unfamiliar at the end of a mundane day. The sound of Vivaldi. A brisk run around the lake after a day of sitting. I’m good keeping my life balanced and fulfilling, regardless of what’s going on around me. |
