Thai Dating site to incorporate Internet Radio into online service
AtlanticThai Internet Co. Ltd., an internet development company based in Muang Thing Thani in Bangkok has launched a worldwide internet radio station after 12 months of test broadcasting and will incorporate the service into its growing Thai dating website ThaiLoveLines.com in 2008.
The Capitol.fm radio service has also generated a regular listernership worldwide with over 2,000 listeners on a daily basis, many from Europe. 'This is interesting, the station has found an audience in Europe particularly France and Germany but it is truly a global audience,' says Joseph O' Connor, Operations Director of AtlanticThai Internet Co. Ltd.
‘At present what we have is a live music stream in high quality stereo but we think it adds a new aspect to our Thai dating service. AtlanticThai is developing both offerings separately at present but we feel that they are complimentary to each other, we are also looking at a news based website,’ said Tony Fitzpatrick, Marketing Director of AtlanticThai Internet Co. Ltd.
‘We are very happy with the continued success of ThaiLoveLines.com, says O' Connor. ‘Right now over 20% of our members are using the Premium Membership service and we are committed to increasing our facilities and keep our pricing competitive,’ he said.
Key plans for 2008 and the development of ThaiLoveLines.com include:
• A new dating and matching service, 'Meet your Match’ where members can rate each other and create their own online matches.
• A dating service called ‘Make a Date’ where members can set up online dates to chat on Instant Messenger and Skype.
• More advanced integration of Skype as well as audio and video services online.
ThaiLoveLines.com, operated by AtlanticThai Internet Co. Ltd., currently employs 5 people at Offices near IMPACT, the leading exhibition centre in Muang Thong Thani working in dating customer service and programming.
The site now has over 10,000 members from Thailand and worldwide. The company is looking at expanding the number of dating sites and programming capacity in 2008.
‘We are serious about having multiple dating sites, one of the markets we are looking at is the Philippines although no decision has been taken on that,’ said Marketing Director, Tony Fitzpatrick. ‘We are also looking to recruit some extra programming staff here in Thailand to help us with that.’
