This page explains how authorised law enforcement agencies may request information from ThaiLoveLines and the legal standards that apply before any user information is disclosed.

ThaiLoveLines does not tolerate the use of its services to facilitate criminal activity and reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Terms of Service or applicable law.

Requests We Will Consider
We will consider requests relating to investigations involving:
- Serious criminal offences
- Court proceedings
- Missing persons
- Child protection
- Human trafficking
- Terrorism
- Money laundering
- Identity fraud
- Romance fraud
- Financial crime
- Cybercrime
Information Potentially Available
Depending upon the circumstances and applicable law, we may be able to provide:
- Registration information
- Account creation date
- Login history
- IP address logs
- Device information
- Email address
- Telephone number (if supplied)
- Profile information
- Uploaded photographs
- Payment transaction records
- Account status
- Records of Terms of Service violations
Information is only provided where legally permitted. We do not guarantee that requested information exists or has been retained.
Information We May Not Possess
ThaiLoveLines does not routinely collect or retain information beyond that required for operation of the service. We cannot provide information that:
- Has never been collected.
- Has been lawfully deleted.
- Has expired under our data retention policies.
- Is encrypted or otherwise unavailable.
Legal Requirements
Before disclosing user information we generally require appropriate legal authority. Depending upon the jurisdiction, this may include:
- Court Orders
- Search Warrants
- Production Orders
- Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) requests
- Letters Rogatory
- Other legally recognised judicial process
Requests should clearly identify:
- The investigating agency.
- The legal authority relied upon.
- The account or individual being investigated.
- The information sought.
- The relevance of the requested information.
Emergency Requests
Where there is an imminent threat involving:
- Danger to life.
- Child exploitation.
- Kidnapping.
- Terrorism.
- Serious physical injury.
We may review emergency disclosure requests before formal legal process is completed where permitted by applicable law.
Emergency requests should clearly explain:
- The emergency.
- Why immediate disclosure is necessary.
- Contact details for the investigating officer.
- Every emergency request is reviewed individually.
Data Preservation Requests
Where permitted by law, we may preserve existing account information for a limited period while legal process is obtained. Preservation does not mean information will automatically be disclosed.
International Requests
ThaiLoveLines operates internationally but has opertional centres in Thailand and Ireland.
Requests from agencies outside Thailand or Ireland should normally be submitted through the appropriate legal assistance procedures applicable between the requesting country and the relevant jurisdiction.
Where local law permits, direct requests from recognised foreign law enforcement agencies may also be considered.
User Notification
Unless prohibited by law or where notification could compromise an active investigation, ThaiLoveLines may notify affected users that information has been requested. We reserve the right to delay or withhold notification where legally required.
Requests We May Decline
We may refuse requests that:
- Lack appropriate legal authority.
- Are excessively broad.
- Conflict with applicable law.
- Seek information that is unavailable.
- Appear inconsistent with internationally recognised human rights principles.
